Poverty and Inequality Discussion Essay Paper
I’m studying for my Writing class and need an explanation.
After reading the module and viewing the Pew Research Center (Links to an external site.) website on poverty, the Stanford Center on Poverty and Inequality (Links to an external site.) website and the “People Like Us (Links to an external site.)” videos think about your position within the U.S. stratification system and your experience with class and social mobility. Is it truly possible to change your class, from a cultural consideration? Yes, we can change our income level and class position, but what about being socialized within a particular socioeconomic class? How does this impact any changes you might experience or expect to experience later in life? Did you see yourself in any of the videos? Discuss that as well.
In an argument-persuasive writing pattern compose a one to two pages essay on “Leading a More Purposeful Lifestyle” using some of Thoreau’s reasoning, another authoritative person’s suggestions, and perhaps adding some personal views on this topic.
