Nutrients are classified into six (6) groups, as you may recall:
Carbohydrates
Lipids are a type of lipid (Fats)
Proteins
Vitamins
Minerals
Water
You must create an informative PowerPoint presentation for this project that may be used to teach your classmates about a range of nutrients from the nutrient categories (above).
Your PowerPoint presentation should include the following:
There should be a title slide.
At least 6 content slides are required.
Correct spelling and grammar should be reflected.
On a References slide, cite at least two reputable sources and present them in APA format.
Choose five (5) particular nutrients from the above-mentioned nutrient categories. You may select one of the following options:
a combination of macro and micronutrients
For instance, you can combine two macronutrients (lipids and carbohydrates) with three micronutrients (such as specific vitamins and minerals)
a total of five (5) vitamins or minerals
Two vitamins (A and D), two important minerals (sodium, calcium, and potassium), and one trace mineral, for example (such as zinc).
Create content slides that address the following for each of the nutrients you chose:
Describe the nutrient’s function(s) in the body.
Describe how the nutrient is metabolized (i.e., digested, absorbed, and transported) throughout the body.
Determine the nutrient’s current Reference Daily Intake (RDI) for an average adult.
