Instructions:
This is a memo for a research paper assignment.
Introduction You will now continue to work on a project of your own choosing for the balance of this semester. You will use this subject to: (1) research the issue, (2) write a formal research paper for academics, and (3) produce a blog post for non-academics. This project will go on till the course is finished. First, you will write a message to your instructor about your topic.
Choosing a topic for the rest of the course is advised, as you will be working with a theme for the remainder of the course. In this section, you should choose something that you are truly enthusiastic about. You should pick something you are willing to devote time and energy to. Your topic must be scholarly in character (so it can’t be an argument for one soft drink being better than another), and it must be something that can be researched. You’ll see at least two clear sides to the issue, thus this must be a disputed matter. Examples: the rate of immigration
the effort to control access to guns (Select an aspect of gun control you want to address)
The legalization of marijuana 3.
same-sex unions
uniforms for school
when executed, the prisoner will die
Movies where violent events occur frequently
has 8 uses (Face book, Snap Chat, Twitter, Instagram, and so on)
the concept of socialism
top-rated dating websites
Choosing something you can work with in a 4-5 page argument is important. Doing so means you should not attempt to cover all of gun control, abortion, global warming, or social media in a single document. On these themes, it would be advantageous to simplify as much as possible. You should do some research to find important, controversial subjects, and then use that information to explore your argument.
I assigned this Your memo will be written as four distinct paragraphs.
The beginning of your essay should identify your subject and explain why it is important in today’s society. Paragraph two: Talk about your own relationship to the topic, including anything that could impact your views, such as personal prejudices or situations. Also, you will need to acquire relevant information in order to construct a coherent and successful argument. Paragraph Four: Identify your opposition to your argument and outline how you might persuade anyone who is against you. Resources
