Instructions:
1.Choose the opportunity/idea that you believe has the best chance of succeeding.
2.Revise your company’s concept and/or marketing strategy.
3.Use social media to spread the word about the idea and assignment, and get feedback from your peers or others.
You may use your existing accounts or create new ones specifically for this assignment.
Please note that I am not telling you what to share because you are the expert on your peer group.
Some people have online friends who will respond to a quick YouTube or Facebook video, while others will respond to detailed written information.
4.At least five people must respond to your survey.
The more responses you receive, the better.
You can use a variety of approaches to elicit responses.
If you’re stuck, I’d recommend using Google to look up some of these.
5.Now write a summary of the entire process.
What I write about/reflect on are the following topics:
1.Introduce the assignment in your reflection.
This should only be two to three lines long.
2.You should present the three original concepts.
Keep it short and sweet here.
3.Write down which of your ideas you want to share with your peers via social media.
You should write down why you chose this idea, why you thought it was the best, and so on.
4.Note any changes you made to the idea before sharing it with your social media networks, as well as why you made them.
5.Explain how and why you used social media to share your business idea.
Please take screenshots of your posts and submit them with the assignment
6.At this point, you may reflect on or discuss any of the following:
A.Do you believe that using social media to improve or generate business ideas is beneficial to business owners?
Why do you think that is?
B.Are you satisfied with the responses you’ve received from your peers and social media networks?
Why do you think that is?
Would you do anything differently if you were doing this again or trying to get more responses?
C.What did this assignment teach you?
What piqued your interest or surprised you?
What did you enjoy the most?
You don’t like it
D.Anything else you’d like to include, with an emphasis on your own personal learning.
7.Incorporating theory from your text or class notes into your responses is always a good idea.
In fact, it is taken into account when grading.
8.Don’t forget to include screen shots of your social media postings.
