1. Is it necessary for sovereignty to be unconditional? If the answer is yes, it means that no state can intervene in the affairs of another. Explain why you believe the answer is yes. If you believe the answer is no, explain why and under what
circumstances you believe intervention would be appropriate.
2. What is the significance of the R2P doctrine (Responsibility to Protect)? Why does it only intervene in cases involving political crimes? In other words, natural disaster-related humanitarian crises do not qualify for intervention. But wouldn’t it be easier to persuade states to intervene in a natural disaster than in a crisis caused by humans?
