Preamble:
The stakeholders of a project can be defined as all those individuals or organizations that are or will be affected by the execution of the project both directly and indirectly. Stakeholders can affect the outcome of the project and therefore we always say that they have an influence on it. One of the main tasks of the project manager is to identify stakeholders, analyze their requirements and expectations, and manage them in such a way that they influence the project as positively as possible.
Definition
The student will need to read the materials that represent the case of study of AVON Products. The objective of this assessment activity is to
Tasks
Identify the stakeholders that are presented in the case (the ones mentioned directly in the case, and at least 3-4 more that you could research in each case through light research).
Create a matrix of power/influence for the case. They should include the stakeholders that are discussed in the case and also the 3-4 additional you have researched. Explain each matrix.
Identify the reason why the project failed as per the explanations provided in the case. Explain why the stakeholders in each case have played a critical role for its failure.
