Choose a topic of interest to you. It needs to be a national topic, but could be any subject – defense, welfare reform, foreign policy, immigration etc. Then, choose two Think Tanks, either those given in the examples in the lessons, or others that you find.
Search for position papers they have written on the subject. Explain, using the policy analysis criteria given, how they analyzed the policy – where did they agree, where did they disagree, etc.
It might be useful to create a chart with the policy analysis questions down the side and the think tanks listed along the top for a direct comparison.
