SCENARIO
At your child’s school, you are a member of a committee. The committee has been tasked with creating a leaflet for the pupils to take home and distribute to their parents. The goal of the leaflet is to inform parents about all students’ forthcoming Field Day. They have stipulated that it must be one-page in length and have encouraged inventiveness in order to attract the parents’ attention.
Because several parents want to participate, the committee’s leader organizes a fun flyer competition. She requests that everyone make their own flyer and create a screen sharing to urge the committee to choose your flyer. The screen sharing should include a visual representation of the flyer as well as a spoken explanation of why your flyer will best catch the attention of the parents.
You know that in order to attract the attention of the parents and win this competition, you’ll need to use color, lines, balance, and contrast visual aspects because you’re so creative.
Make careful to defend your aesthetic choices to the other parents and committee members in your video presentation. You know you can win this fun competition if you properly explain why you chose each of these aesthetic aspects and how it best captures the parents’ attention.
