An Analysis of Music-Based Controversies
QUESTION: Write a feature article of 1000 words in length.
- An analysis of music-based controversies.
TO DO: (pls make sure you read this before answering the question, this is simply a feedback from the lecturer so please make sure you follow all the steps and guidelines stated below) .
write about something current or that happened recently, since it’s a feature article (not essay) which is a form of news so there should be a reason you are writing this article as it has to have some relation to something that happened of recent and also should be entertaining and persuasive.
Also, since it is an article you don’t need to follow any strict rules like in an essay. You can write it in a fun, entertaining way, or with attitude or even in a provocative way
It’s an article, you just talk about the issue, It shout be interesting, entertaining to read and catch people’s attention, you should include pictures to make it more entertaining, easy to read and understand.
The headline Should act as a calling card and it shouldn’t be obscure or short.
There should be a leader sentence after this headline that explained the main thrust of the feature, then you could employ the inverted pyramid structure.
I’d like to have seen greater use of outbound links to other writing as this is meant to be published on a music magazine site. Try to aim for a minimum of 5 outbound links in the next feature.
You should also think about the feature’s design and structure. Please indicate where music/video/images/social feeds should feature. It’s good to be able compare your idea with other music news sites and replicate the formatting.
