The goal of this discussion board is to allow you to investigate and explain the reasons for the disparity in unemployment rates between the overall unemployment rate in the United States and the unemployment rate for a specific demographic. Do not simply state the unemployment rate.
Explain why the rates for your chosen demographic are higher or lower than the national average.
Visit the website of the Bureau of Labor Statistics. What is the current national unemployment rate? Find the unemployment rate for the demographic group that best describes you (for example, based on age, sex, or race) or select a demographic group that interests you. Is it greater than or less than the national average?
What are some of the reasons for the variations? Do some research to back up what you’re saying.
What factors play a role in the disparities?
The Pandemic did not necessarily affect all demographics in the same way, according to Covid-19. Discuss the various rates now or before Covid-19 takes effect. Keep in mind that this is a demographic comparison.
