Discussion on Getting to Zero-Carbon Energy Production
The creation of household garbage has a significant environmental impact. A large portion of it ends up in landfills, while the rest ends up in rivers and oceans. And the more we consume, the more raw materials we need, and the more
environments are polluted or destroyed as a result of the extraction of those materials. You will study the topic of creating a zero-waste lifestyle in this article. Begin by watching these three short movies on waste reduction: A painless technique to reduce clutter in your house | (Links to an external site.) Ray Anderson TED Talks on Disposability Consciousness (Links to an external site.) and The Business Logic of Sustainability (Links to an external site.).
Write a paper in which you answer the following questions:
Do you believe it’s feasible for anyone to live a genuinely waste-free life? Why do you think that is?
What are some of the most fundamental transformations in consciousnessin the way we think about consumption and waste productionthat would be required to achieve such a lifestyle?
What do you think are some of the most straightforward ways to reduce trash output in the home?
What, in your opinion, are the most significant barriers to achieving zero waste, and why? What are some approaches to overcoming those challenges?
Do you believe you and your family will ever be able to achieve zero waste? Why do you think that is?
Do you believe that businesses, in addition to households, can achieve zero waste? What are some of the advantages and disadvantages that a corporation should think about before pursuing that goal?
Is it possible to live sustainably on Earth while still producing waste? Why do you think that is?
Requirements:
The length of your written work should be 3-4 pages, excluding the title and reference pages, which must be included.
Outside of the textbook, you must mention at least four sources for this task. The CSU Global Library (Links to an external site.) is an excellent source of information.
Your paper must follow the CSU Global Writing Center’s formatting guidelines (Links to an external site.).
Start with the links under the Research Help and Writing Help sections on the CSU Global Library’s (Links to an external site.) homepage if you need help with your writing style.
APPROACHING ZERO-CARBON ENERGY PRODUCTION IS OPTION #2.
You may have implemented energy conservation measures as part of the Ecological Footprint Reduction Project, which ended this week. While it is true that the less conventional energy we use, the less carbon we emit into the atmosphere, we
will not achieve zero carbon emissions from energy generation until we stop burning fossil fuels. We’re still a long way from there; as this table of US energy production by source (Links to an external site.) shows, coal, oil, and natural gas still
provided 62.9 percent of the country’s energy in 2018. What should we do now, given this scenario and the urgency of our worldwide need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions as quickly as possible? Propose one action in your paper that you
believe would have the greatest influence on achieving a zero-carbon energy future. Government (national, state, municipal) and/or non-government organizations, communities, and/or people may be involved in this action. Provide a clear plan
for completing the step as quickly as possible. Make a list of any hurdles that will need to be overcome and how they will be overcome. Use credible and/or scholarly references to back up your claims.
