You will be required to submit multiple reflections comparing your self-assessment responses to the observer assessment responses as part of this course’s milestones. These evaluations are significant because they not only help you understand the theories behind the assessments, but they also provide you with insight into how you and others perceive your leadership actions, as well as a baseline from which you can grow as a leader.
Step 1: Review your Northouse Observer Evaluations (and be prepared to submit them with your milestone)
Step 2: Complete the self-assessments in Leadership, Chapters 2 & 4, which may be found in the table of contents for each chapter under “Leadership Instrument.”
Step 3: Use the directions in the textbook to score your observer replies. You can also add your observer responses in the e-book for Chapter 2. You will need to hand score the replies in Chapter 4.
Step 4: Make sure to handle the following important areas in order to fulfill this milestone: Compare and contrast your self-assessments for Chapters 2 and 4 with the replies of your observers. Did they have a different reaction than you? What do you mean by that? Examine why you believe they reacted in such a different way. describe what you’ll be able to accomplish with this data
