Consulting and Coaching Psychology
In the literature, the terms coaching and mentoring are frequently used interchangeably. Employee coaching can be useful to a company’s performance. Employees do not always want to be coached. This project will allow you to review and improve your previous work on virtual teams, as well as examine the competencies that a coach must possess and the challenges that coaches may face.
Guidelines for general use
Refer to your submission of Topic 2’s “Virtual Teams” assignment, as well as any instructor feedback. (ATTACHED) APA style is mandatory for doctoral students’ writing projects.
Specific criteria for PhD level writing can be found in the American Psychological Association’s Publication Manual. The Manual covers the structure and substance of manuscripts, as well as clean and succinct writing and academic grammar and terminology.
Include a minimum of seven scholarly sources that are related to the issue. (The majority of papers should have been published during the previous five years)
This assignment must be completed and submitted to LopesWrite.
Directions
1st part
Present a revised version of the paper “Virtual Teams” (2,250-2,800 words total) that improves the writing quality and integrates teacher criticism on subject and writing. Please include the following information in your submission:
A commentary (250-300 words) that includes a bulleted list of the modifications you made to the paper and outlines your revision process, including how you incorporated your instructor’s input. This part, like an abstract, will be given its own page after the title page and before the paper’s introduction.
The rewritten work integrates teacher input, clarifies the thesis statement, and strengthens supporting arguments; edits for grammar, spelling, and punctuation; changes word choice to reflect professional and scholarly language; and changes sentence structure for greater readability.
Part two
Write an additional 2,000-2,500 words about coaching and how to deal with leaders who don’t want to be coached. In your paper, include the following:
A research-based discussion of and rationale for leadership coach competencies.
Three sorts of challenging leaders are discussed, along with how you would tackle the obstacles of coaching them, based on research.
A discussion of how a leader’s style affects how issues are addressed, based on studies.
A research-based explanation of how a challenging leader might be coached in a virtual setting.
