Instructions:
Please give me an example of a moral quandary. It doesn’t have to be a topic covered in this course; it could be something from your own life, the news, or something else entirely. Tell me which moral rules you believe that dilemma involves (they don’t have to be from this course), and how you think the dilemma should be resolved. Please write a minimum of 50 words.
(You can create your own moral dilemma, but if you get stuck, here’s an example: You’re a doctor, and you’ve got a patient with an Ebola virus strain that’s extremely dangerous. You feel obligated to look after him and help him get better, but keeping him alive increases the risk that the virus will escape the clinic and infect a large number of people. You believe it is your responsibility to protect the general public from this virus. There is no cure; the only option is to let the disease run its course; some patients will live, while others will die. You believe this patient will survive because he is young and otherwise healthy. What should you do, and why should you do it?)
