Essay on the Connection Between New Product Development and Marketing Strategy
THE CONNECTION BETWEEN NEW PRODUCTS AND MARKETING STRATEGIES
Paper of Research: This is a graduate course, thus students will be expected to conduct research and produce papers summarizing what they have learned about current themes from the weekly readings in their own words. A theoretical review of relevant literature and application of findings from the literature to a topic connected to a given industry, field, or business challenge is what research is all about.
Peer-reviewed trade or academic journals must be used for the research. While blogs, Wikipedia, encyclopedias, course textbooks, popular periodicals, newspaper stories, online websites, and other similar resources can be useful for gathering background knowledge, they are not appropriate for this research project.
Please note that the UC Library staff is extremely helpful in guiding students through the use of the UC Online Library journal database. If you have any problems, please contact them. In addition, in the Course Materials folder in the Content part of the course, the instructor has supplied extra resources, including a research tutorial.
Requirements for the assignment:
Choose a research topic from the chapter readings or your professor’s suggested selection.
From the University of the Cumberlands Library online business database, find at least four (4), preferably five (5) or more, separate peer-reviewed papers on your topic. The article(s) must be current and come from a reputable source. While relevant articles from any period are acceptable, current/published articles from the recent five (5) years are desired. A point deduction will be applied if you use literature that is irrelevant or unrelated to the chosen topic.
In APA format, write a four- to the five-page double-spaced paper explaining the findings on your specific topic in your own words. Please note that the length of the article does not include the cover page, abstract, or references page (s).
The following is a suggested structure for your paper:
Page 1 of the book
In your own words, give an overview of the study topic’s importance to current business and professional practice.
The topic’s potential benefit to current business and professional practice, as well as the greater body of research, should be reflected in the research purpose.
In your own words, summarize the literature review. This part should not be considerably filled with direct quotes from the article, nor should it be a “copy and paste” of literature content. A literature review is a synopsis of the key points and findings from each of the publications you’ve chosen (with appropriate citations). Direct quotations should be utilized only when absolutely necessary. This is usually the longest section of your paper (this is not a requirement; just a general observation).
Literature is put to use practically. Describe how the findings from the relevant research literature can be used to shape, inform, and improve existing business and professional practice in the area of your choice.
