Ethical dilemmas occur within a student affairs department on a daily basis. Awareness of applicable laws and the institutions policies will enhance a student affairs professional’s ethical practice.
In 750-1,000 words, identify a current event in higher education within the last two years that involves an ethical dilemma you may encounter as a student affairs professional.
Address the following in your analysis:
Provide an introduction and conclusion.
Summarize the current event and the ethical dilemma.
Describe your ethical perspective that applied the institutions policies and relevant laws to the current event.
Explain your decision-making process to resolve the situation.
Analyze the ethical implications of the decision you made and how your decision should promote ethical standards within your department.
Identify the required reporting related to the current event and analyze the legal and ethical implications of that reporting.
Support your summary with 3-5 scholarly resources.
Prepare this assignment according to the APA Style guidelines. An abstract is not required.
