Research That Is Based On Evidence
Answer each of the following points/questions in a 1250-1500 word essay. Make sure you answer all of the questions for each bullet point completely. Three primary sections, one for each bullet below, should be included. Separate each section of your paper with a clear header that tells your professor which bullet you’re going to talk about in that section. Use citations in your essay to back up your points with at least two (2) sources. For the essay, make sure to cite using the APA writing style. Part 1: Explain why ethical precautions developed for clinical research may be impractical or inappropriate for evidence-based practice or implementation projects.
Part 2: Read Chapter 22 of the textbook and look at the part titled Two Ethical Exemplars (Melnyk and Fineout-Overholt, 2015, pages 518-519). Examine three major ethical issues surrounding the implementation of Evidence-Based Quality Improvement (EBQI) initiatives. Explain how these disagreements connect to the four ethical standards.
Part 3: Determine which ethical standards are at odds with the concept of “patients having an ethical duty in healthcare improvement.” Disseminate ideas for resolving these conflicts.
