(Give an example of an ethical code that is required of you in a workplace (current or past).
1) At my current workplace, we have quite a few ethical codes in place. I work at a church, so the members of staff are held at a high standard because we are watched by so many different people and are often looked up to. One of the ethical codes we have is that at no point should there just be a man and a woman somewhere alone at the work place/during the work day.
We have to make sure that we have a third person at all times to avoid any issues or anything that could possibly be said. We also have the ethical code that we do not repeat any of the information that we learn or are told about any members of our church because if they come to us with something, we value it and their privacy. Our church is very serious about all of our ethical codes because we have to be! (Reply)

1) Choose a persuasive theory from Chapter 3 that you connected with.
2) Why does this theory resonate with you?
3) Give an example of how it applies to your everyday life
1. I chose the Attribution Theory
2. I chose this theory because it refers to figuring out how we determine the reasons we do things.
It resonates with me because I feel like Im always left wondering why someone chose to do something the way that they did. It could be through others social interactions, my interactions with people, or even some my professor left us with to think about.
I think its important that we understand this theory because learning why someone said something to either you or someone else could be beneficial in your learning processes.
Like the example it gives in the book about the roommate buying a new car, I definitely feel like I do this in real life sometimes. Ill definitely be quick to make assumptions in my head that could fit the situation best. It applies to my everyday life through school, basketball, and even social interactions.
Assumptions from end are always made, but never really thought about. I actually end up getting my hunches right most of the time. I also feel like many people are quick to judge instead of quick to asses. The Attribution Theory is a great way to actually recognize what is happening- as well as how it resonates within us.
