Week seven. This week we are discussing the unexpected event and the additional work this caused our team and project. During this course we learned about human resource and procurement management. This didn’t really affect our plan as the plan we have is the improvement of a computer system for a construction company. There are some tasks that were affected but Human Resources was not one of them. Potentially procurement management was affected due to the impact of a hurricane on getting items needed and if anything was ruined that was already in place.
Updates we made were minimal to our plan. Some of the project scope changed as depending on the severity of the damages depend on when the project will get back on track. Also if infrastructure was at risk, such as electric, internet, etc this would push certain parts of the project back also.
We changed our project scope due to the potential for electric infrastructure and telecommunication being down. Otherwise there will not be a lot of changes to the project plan.
My teammates and I agreed on what modifications needed to be made and worked as a group to ensure they were written down as we would plan them. There were no major changes based on the unexpected event to our plan.
