Introduction to Studies in Creativity

20%
This take home test will give you the opportunity to reflect on the topics you learned in the course, think about your own creative journey, and how these concepts may have had an impact on your creative approach. Please take your time and read through the instructions carefully.
INSTRUCTIONS
For this test, I would like you to include concepts from FOUR main topics. At least THREE of these topics should be from the topics not covered in the last test. These include:
The Creative Product
The Creative Problem Solving Process
What interferes with Creativity?
The Flow of Creativity
Socio-Cultural Approach to Creativity
Last semester, for some of your class activities, you provided a symbolic reference related to a particular topic, and how it related to your own life. Your take home test takes a similar approach but for FOUR topics instead of ONE.
FORMAT
Separate your test into FIVE sections. The first FOUR sections should have a subheading, and the subheading should be the topic you have chosen. Under each subheading, include the following:
- A symbolic depiction of your chosen area of discussion. For example, if you choose the topic “What interferes with Creativity?”, and you relate well to the concept of “Cultural Barriers” you can include a symbolic depiction of cultural barriers, or you can include a symbolic depiction of the broader topic “What interferes with creativity?”, or you can include a symbolic depiction of your personal experience with the concept. This can be an image, a drawing, a work of art etc. There is no limit to how you choose to depict this, however all images, drawings, depictions etc., MUST BE YOUR OWN! Ensure that you include here a brief description of the symbolism behind your depiction.
- A clear description of the elements of that particular topic that you can relate to. For example, if you chose the topic “What interferes with Creativity?”, and you relate well to the concept of “Cultural Barriers”, explain clearly your understanding of what a cultural barrier is. Ensure that you reference your work properly. At the very least, this part of your test should include references. You are welcome to include additional external resources if they support your reflection.
- How do you relate to the topic? Reflect on how this topic can translate into your own life and experiences. This can take many forms. You may have a personal example that illustrates this topic. You may have learned something from this topic that affects how you now approach creativity at school, in the workplace or in your own personal life. You may have learned something that you have the desire to apply in particular areas of your creative journey. You may also not relate to this topic at all and have a completely different experience. Feel free to express those differences here.
The very last section of your test should be a reflective conclusion. In your conclusion I invite you to BRIEFLY share your overall thoughts about the course in general. How did you feel about the course? What did you enjoy? What would you improve?
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING
MAXIMUM 7 PAGES DOUBLE SPACED (not including references and reference page).
Your written work must be typed!!
Submit ALL of your work on ONE DOCUMENT. That is, if you draw, take a picture etc, include all images on ONE DOCUMENT. I will only mark the last document you submit.
Ensure that all work taken from another source (whether from the Power Points, or additional outside sources) are properly referenced and a list of all sources included in a reference page at the end of your work.
Your work must be your own! All images, pictures, drawings should be your own and not taken from the internet. Remember I am not marking you based on your drawing skills so don’t worry!
Plagiarism is not tolerated.
This is a reflection, so it expected that you write in the first person. However, (as highlighted in the rubric below) I will expect a professionally presented document, clear and well written, free of grammar errors and completely referenced!
Rubric
5 sections – 4 marks each = 20 marks total.
Each section will be marked based on:
- Content and Engagement
You engage well with the assignment, and provide well thought out and reflective perspectives. You include content from theory discussed in class and thoughtfully relate concepts and ideas to your own experience. Your work shows genuine understanding of concepts discussed in class.
- Presentation
Your work is clear and well written. Free from grammar, spelling, punctuation mistakes. Professionally presented, consistent font. Work is properly referenced in text and a Reference Section provided at the end with a list of references.
81 Contributing Factors Of Air Pollution In Richmond, Virginia
Research question:
What are the contributing factors of air pollution in Richmond, Virginia and who all is affected by the air pollution/ quality?
While researching the area around Richmond, I did not find many articles that specifically led to articles in who and what is affected. While conducting my search, I stumbled upon many articles from other cities around the world, I plan to research some of the keywords against my searches throughout Richmond.
Hypotheses:
For an accurate measurement of the air quality, I will need to conduct a research study by collecting data on my own. I will need to collect data that consist of the wind, temperature, particulates in the air (if possible).
Procedure:
As stated above, I would like to collect the data, and apply it into a graph to show the rate of pollution over the years, and more specifically around the seasons. I suspect that the climate surrounding the area in study will be impacted by temperature from day to day.
