Milestone Paper on Motivational Strategies
Context: Over the last two weeks, you’ve covered a wide range of topics, including innovation, transformation, diversity, and employee motivation. In the Week 4 discussion and this week’s conversation, you applied these concepts to your chosen firm, looking at the changes that are taking place and how your company rewards its personnel. You’ll expand on your conversation prompt study in this milestone and delve even further into employee motivation topics.
To begin, make sure you’ve read Chapters 7 through 10 of the book.
After that, please view the following lab video clips:
Chapter 08: Performance Evaluations/Appraisals Concept Clip
Concept Clip: The Big Five Personality Factors (Chapter 9)
Concept Clip: Perceptions (Chapter 9)
Requirements: Review the research you and your classmates performed in the Week 4 conversation about change, as well as the research you and your classmates conducted in this week’s talk about inspiring employees. Look for patterns and concepts that connect to one another. What, for example, was the most motivating factor for employees during a period of change? Then watch the films on performance evaluations, personality variables, and perceptions in Chapters 8 and 9. Finally, for your final project, create a plan that you believe will most successfully encourage the human capital in the organization you’ve been researching.
The following requirements should be addressed in your third milestone submission:
1. Describe whether you will or will not create a formal performance evaluation procedure, as well as why you will or will not do so.
2. Describe in detail the reward system you will use to inspire your employees, as well as why you have included each element (base salary, commission, bonus, stocks, perks, holiday, vacation, etc.) and why you have included each element (the list is unlimited, so be creative!).
3. Describe your strategy for implementing and managing the change process required to move from your present reward system to your new one.
a. What methods will you employ to deal with the change?
b. Will you be open and honest in your communications, or will some compensation information be kept private?
c. What are the most likely barriers to change, and how will you prepare for them in advance?
Your third milestone submission should be written in APA format, contain at least five recent sources, and be at least five pages long.
Remember that the purpose is to show critical thinking and application of topics, as well as how they interact. Human behavior and how people respond to reward, motivation, and change are crucial to this project. Make your responses detailed and explain why you took the method you did. It’s simple to make a list of prizes, but it’s more difficult to explain why they’re the best option and how you’ll manage the transition efficiently.
