For this assignment, you will complete the “Self-Assessment of Core Informatics Competencies” found in Table 1-1 on page 15 of the text. To do so, please follow the instructions listed at the top of page 15 in the table. You
DO NOT have to rate each individual item, rather you will rate each group as a whole. For example, each competency is listed in a green box with white text, such as “Health Information Literacy and Skills” being one
competency. There are multiple descriptors listed under each competency, and you rank yourself based on your knowledge of all of them collectively. So, when you read all of the descriptors for “Health Information Literacy
and Skills” you will rate yourself based on your overall knowledge of the combined descriptors, according to the instructions. Your answers should look something like this:
