Identifying and describing strategies you intend to pursue to maintain integrity and ethics of your 1) academic work while a student of the MSN program, and 2) professional work as a nurse throughout your career. Include a review of resources and approaches you propose to use as a student and a professional.
Strategies in Academic Work
From the above discussion, it is clear that nurses should develop strategies that will help them maintain professional and academic integrity and ethics. Making use of libraries is the first strategy that will aid in academic integrity and ethics. There are many resources available in the library which provide information that the student can use to increase their knowledge on their respective field. Time management is another strategy that will allow me to balance my social and school life. Managing time is crucial because it creates an organized system that will enable proper academic resources and time. In all, I plan to utilize the aforementioned approaches and resources both as a student of MSN program and a professional practitioner.
Strategies in Professional Work
There are specific strategies that are essential in the nursing profession. Certain websites such as American Nurses Association offer training services to nurses and help them continue studying even after securing their jobs. This website will be crucial throughout my professional years because I will keep up with the changes that tend to occur in medicine, and it will help sharpen my skills. Another strategy is joining a specific program such as the American Nurses Practitioner’s Association which will assist me in advancing in my career as a nurse. The association is significant because it will create a support system that will help me become a better nurse by providing essential opportunities.
Conclusion
Both academic and professional integrity are very crucial in building trust for attainable career success. I intend to utilize and apply these professional skills to avoid plagiarism by making sure that the resources I use in writing my papers come from credible and reliable sources, and I will make sure that I reference them appropriately.
