Order ID: 89JHGSJE83839 Style: APA/MLA/Harvard/Chicago Pages: 5-10 Instructions:
Q1)The separation of ownership and control has had a significant impact on industry structure. How has it affected (1) the firm’s mentality and (2) the firm’s physique at the firm level?
Q2) Now, tell a tale about how it can cause merger waves or pandemonium at the market level.
The aim is to summarize the contents of the book in order to provide responses to the two questions.
Q1; the firm mind; the author divided it into two categories: 1. owner mind (ch3) and 2. management mind (ch4). Your responses indicate that the student did not even look at the book 🙁Summary of the book The Separation of Ownership and Control
Q2 is the same way. The author divided it into four primary topics.
Each chapter was too big, too intricate, too delicate, and too similar, and you didn’t summarize any of them; instead, you just talked about the chios from the internet.
I did a cursory review of the book and here are the results.Q1: The firm’s mind: is a summary of:
1. The owner’s mind (ch3)
2. The Manager’s Mind ch4
The firm’s body is a summary of its services.
ch5 is too big 2. Ch6 is too complicated. 3. Ch7 is too frail. 4. ch8 is too similarQ2; is a summary of chapters 9, 10, and 11?
To give you an example, I’ve just described the Mind of the Owner (this is just a very rough draft), but it should include all of the relevant facts about the subject:Separation Anxiety in Owners: Owners may experience separation anxiety as a result of losing control of their businesses. There are two approaches to overcoming separation anxiety. First, by employing “distancing institutions,” such as the Board of Directors, as an intermediary between the owners and the management (BOD). The BOD acts in the owners’ best interests. Owners may, however, hire mutual-fund managers to ensure that the BOD works in their best interests. p23 Figure
Second, Willful Blindness; the best way to characterize this situation is when the owner buys a few shares in a large index. Accounting profit and market share are used by owners and shareholders to assess a manager’s competence. However, those measures are inaccurate; profit might be earned from shifts in consumer preferences, labor strikes, wars, pandemics, or market bubbles, for example.
