Instructions:
The project’s planning and implementation stages.
Content of the Assignment
You will work through the project’s planning and implementation stages in this week’s assignment. You’ll need to figure out what you want to achieve, what resources you’ll need, and which evidence-based practice (EBP) model to use.
Begin by defining the desired results of executing the change (i.e., what is your improvement goal?). A change is required in order for quality to improve. That change must be quantifiable, or measurable in other terms.
Create an implementation strategy that includes the following steps:
Explain how you’ll track progress and how you’ll know when you’ve met your improvement target.
Make a list of the outcomes you’ll need to meet your goal. This will enable you to establish the steps required and the order in which tasks should be completed in order to achieve the desired result.
Decide who will be in charge of each outcome (typically each is assigned to a team member who is motivated in seeing the successful implementation of the plan).
Determine the steps that must be taken in order for each result to occur. Consider the following questions while deciding what action to take:
To whom do we need to speak?
Departments
Stakeholders
What decisions must be made?
What are the resources required?
BudgetsPersonnel
Equipment and supplies
What milestones should we set in order to determine if we’re on track?
When do we need to revisit those milestones to see how far they’ve progressed?
Timeline for the project as a whole
What kind of setbacks should we anticipate?
Plan for risk management
Are there any activities that must be completed prior to executing this action?
Create a budget, assign positions, and assign responsibilities (who will be responsible for what).
Determine how you’ll track progress, which will allow you to keep track of actions as they’re completed and alert you to those that are late or off course.
Choose an EBP model to guide the plan’s implementation.
Keep in mind that without a metric, progress becomes a question of opinion, and opinions can readily shift over the course of a project’s implementation.
Make a plan for evaluation. Your progress will be measured using the following criteria, which you will describe in your evaluation plan:
Measurable outcomes (short- and long-term formative and summative evaluations)
Data to be gathered, as well as how and when it will be gathered
Set up assessment points where data may be assessed and changes to the implementation plan made as a result.
Choose one of the following formats for your assignment:
A 12- to 15-slide presentation is recommended.
Paper of 1,050-words
Use the homework from the previous three weeks to keep it going.
No fewer than 1050 words are required.
Specifies an objective for improvement and how it will be measured.
