*** These are some ideas that may help to answer but feel free to use the best ideas or information that you consider pertinent.****
** I want to assess practice issues in STDs prevention and treatment clinic; I will use a SWOT analysis tool. (for me was the most simple to use).**
[SWOT: Typically, when conducting a needs-based organizational assessment, a SWOT analysis is used to determine what impacts an organization. A SWOT analysis is a tool used to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. It will identify the internal and external factors that affect achieving that objective with an overall look at the project in areas that will support the project and areas that may need more attention (Waxman, 2020, pp. 156-159).]
** {The clinic has a multidisciplinary team that works together in Miami Dade County to improve the health of the community. Everyone understands the organization’s purpose and is willing to work providing personalized and outstanding care for STDs prevention and treatment services of each patient.}
**{More work is needed to initiate and implement direct screening of vulnerable populations like the homeless, drug users, and adolescents with high-risk sexual behavior. These efforts need more funds and will require the intervention of the government and other supporting institutions (Kantor et al., 2020).
** {I was able to identify some underserved areas that, with improvements, can grant the development of the company and at the same time will represent significant profit sources while improving patient healthcare outcomes. For example, the clinic has an extensive laboratory with complete lab equipment that can amplify the range of the testing labs. Floor, but only one part of it is in full use.
**{The decision-maker of the office says that although the clinic has a complete and advanced lab in place, most of the labs are not performed on-site because they continue dealing with some difficulty obtaining Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) certification. Only some urine rapid tests are performed in the office; the rest are collected and sent to an external lab.
Usually, the external laboratory dispatches the results of the difficulties in five to seven days, which delays the treatment delivery and raises the possibility of STDs transmission to the community. Further STD transmission can be halted if an infected patient receives early treatment during an initial visit.}**
**[ Florida has a high STD prevalence of sexually transmitted illnesses, and Miami Dade County is most affected by this problem. I’m collaborating with a Miami-Dade County community-based clinic, bringing awareness to the community about sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and offering testing along with that awareness. The organization’s mission is to provide patients with quality and affordable care to allow the community to have a safer, more enjoyable life.
The clinic’s vision is to create awareness in the community about the risk of having unprotected sex and the need to stop STDs transmission. The STD program fights sexually transmitted diseases one person at a time by offering screening, testing, diagnosis, and treatment for afflicted individuals. Another goal of the STD program is to identify and provide prophylactic treatment and counseling to sexual partners of confirmed cases. The program’s intervention serves to safeguard infected people, their partners, and their unborn children from the catastrophic consequences of untreated STDs.]**
