Assignment of Ethics Analytical Paper
Assignment of Ethics Analytical Paper
After reading Chapter 2 of the textbook, view the 2000 movie “Boiler Room,” which is available in the Amazon Prime Video, You Tube, Vudu, iTunes, etc. Plan ahead to ensure that you have time to view the video at least once before your paper starts.
Prompt essay:
The film contains various examples of ethically dubious practices. These practices may comprise actions, assertions, omissions and/or schemes. Identify and explain a particular morally dubious practice, providing a brief description of the parties and the work of the practice. Then assess the ethics of the particular practice you focus on using the ethics information taught in the class and Chapter 2 of the textbook. Your analysis should be as follows:
(1) Two of the ‘Ethics Theories’ (you should choose from Utility, Ethics and Justice) and two of the ‘Ethic’ Traps in Chapter 2 are included. (1)
(2) Defining and explaining your beliefs and traps.
(3) To assess the ethics of the particular practice you focus on, apply theories and traps.
(4) To aid in your analysis, use specific discussions and film evidence.
Your paper must be written in the form of an essay; in other words, individual answers to the questions set out above should not be separated. Your paper should contain an introduction and a conclusion, and your article should focus on analysis rather than factual recitation. No source must be consulted beyond your textbook, your class notes and the film itself (outside research is, in fact, discouraged). You have to have at least 800 words and at least 1200 words on your paper, and you have to be double-spaced, using Times Roman 12-point type and a 1-inch margin. List your name, course (BSL212), date and the precise word count of your paper in the top left corner of your first page. Direct quotes from the movie or textbook must be quoted and the source in parentheses should be acknowledged just after the quote (Boiler Room for the film, and Mann, Roberts, followed by the page number, for the textbook). If you fail to follow these particular directions, the grade will have a negative effect, as shown in the analytical paper grading rubric displayed on blackboard. You must submit your Analytical paper on the Blackboard in Word format under the allocated “Ascriptions” button no later than the beginning of the class on 7 June 2021. Note that Safe Assignment is used to compare the papers with the whole Internet and our internal database in the detection of plagiarism. Please note. This analytical paper is not maquillable; the policy defined in the course syllabus is not subject to the quiz.
