Instructions
You’ve learned about several facets of international economics during the course. You will use everything you have learned to prepare a final, thorough assignment for this assignment.
Investigate a region that is undergoing economic integration (possible examples: North American countries, the African Union, and the Gulf Cooperation Council among many others). After that, write a paper that includes all of the parts listed below.
Display trade patterns among the countries in the region graphically. This can be done with a pie chart or any other chart or graph that you find useful.
Describe the region’s level of economic integration.
Define a free trade zone and apply it to the territory you’ve chosen.
Apply the factor-endowment model of commerce to the projected trade patterns using two countries from the region.
Assess how foreign economies of scale will effect the same two countries using the same two countries (i.e., which industries will be affected and how).
Discuss current changes in regional trade policy (as well as those that are projected to occur in the near future).
Discuss the role of international commerce in the economic development of the region’s countries.
To the region, apply the criteria for an optimal currency area.
You must use at least three academic materials, one of which must be from the CSU Online Library, in your completed work, which must be at least three pages long. When writing this assignment, utilize APA Style to include in-text citations and references for all sources used. Please note that there is no requirement for an abstract.
