The pricing strategy differs greatly depending on the market structure. In a monopoly market, pricing guidelines are quite clear. Because the firm is the only one who makes the goods, it may raise the price as high as the client will tolerate. In a perfect competition structure, a producer’s price techniques are also fairly intuitive. They are price takers, thus the price is set at the product’s marginal cost. This is owing to the fact that many companies sell products that are almost identical. However, for market structures with differentiated products and many rivals (oligopoly) or a few manufacturers, there is optimal pricing (monopolistic competition). These are far more complicated and time-consuming. The most common sort of rivalry, according to experts, is product differentiation that results in disparities in consumer valuation. Pricing strategies in such marketplaces may comprise the three Cs: cost, competition, and customer.
Create a report that includes an analysis of market structures as well as pricing techniques that are appropriate for each structure. Also, by analyzing the market structure of a certain organization, add a real-world example of pricing strategy.
