Instructions:
A policy is defined as a rule or guideline that directs individual, corporate, or societal conduct, according to the text. Environmental policy is also defined as a public policy that deals with human interactions with the environment, according to the text. Its overall goal is to regulate resource use or decrease pollution in order to improve human well-being and/or safeguard natural systems. Finally, the text defines economics as the study of how we choose to allocate limited resources to meet demand for goods and services.
Environmental policy “should” meet the demands of society, the environment, and the economy.
Examine one governing agency’s policy that has an impact on your life. You can look at policies proposed by the United Nations or the Federal Government all the way down to policies proposed by your college or homeowners association, as long as it affects you. You should also be able to tie your policy to the environment in some way.
Give the policy you researched a name and a brief description. Think about and describe the policy’s effects on society, the economy, and the environment. Is the policy balanced in its treatment of all parties? Why do you think that is? What changes could be made to the policy? Your response should be two pages long, double spaced, and written in 12 point type
Please use the APA format to cite at least one source.
