Persuasive essay on the blog
A blog is a personal web space where you can keep track of your thoughts, feelings, ideas, and creative expressions on a particular subject. A blog can be a scrapbook, journal, photo album, opinion column, micro book, sketchpad, or soapbox, depending on how you use it. You will write an entry each week in response to prompts about writing. To get started, simply click Create Blog Entry. Copy and paste your files into the text box rather than attaching them.
Note: You will give an example of persuading someone to agree with you based on a personal preference in this blog. When writing your persuasive essay, choose a topic that is based on research and has a more universal understanding or appeal.
Describe the situation in the first paragraph. Tell the reader why or why not your efforts to persuade were successful in the second paragraph.
1. Describe a time when you attempted to persuade someone to do something. What justifications and/or evidence did you provide? Were you able to persuade your opponent? Why do you think that is? The position you were attempting to promote could be as simple as deciding where to eat dinner or as complex as purchasing a car.
